FREE TLD, not a scam

It's true.
The only catch is you don't own the domain, YTechSupport owns it.

Proof: I've had a domain registered with them.

And the TLD can be .com, .net, .org, etc...

All you have to do is post 3 posts on their forum and at least 5 posts a month.

Seems like a pretty good deal. Only thing would be is risk of loosing your actual TLD. If you don't actually own it, then the smart thing for the company to do would be to take over your domain, and then sell it back to you for actual money.

It's actually a pretty good idea for the company that is doing it. However probably not the smartest idea for a user to have someone else register their TLD.

You'd be much better off just buying your domain yourself so you actually do own it, and have no fears of someone else taking control of it.

Just my thoughts.

I guess it'll be good for storage. Just think posting 5 times a month is a hassle. What happens if you don't?

Wouldn't be good to use for anything important.

Good for storage?
Why would you use a TLD for storage?
I mean, other than having professional looking links if you're going to share them...

Absolutely agree with "Ghost Rider103", finally you will lost all of your work unless you pay for it (that may be more than at normal cost).

I have to agree. Otherwise, what's in it for them? Okay, so say you get the domain name and free hosting and you build yourself a nifty cool whiz-bang website and start getting some decent traffic, and then lo and behold, that domain name is more valuable. That domain name that THEY own, not you.

Then they can sell it to you (or somebody else) at a profit. Presumably your website design and content would still belong to you, because that's how intellectual property laws work, and they have no terms of service stating otherwise, but the lack of a TOS makes me rather leery in and of itself.

I wouldn't work a site and not to own the domain name...
that means that once the site has good traffic they can do whatever they want with it...
