Newbie- ipython problem

I am trying to run .py files in ipython - linux.
The commander python filename.py does not seem to work in this
If that is the case how do we make it work in ipython?

iPython is just more beautiful variant of interpreter Python. It should run scripts as well as Python. More then that, it use modules of usual Python. If your script doesn't work on iPython, try it on Python and it shouldn't work on it. Smile
