I have vga input on my sony bravia lc tv when ever I connect it to my pc the screen on my tv looks like a small box rather than the full screen.

Ok. That's an easy fix. If you are you are using Windows Right click on your desktop then select "Graphic Properties" and I think you can figure it from there. x.x I would need to go upstairs and connect mine to get you the rest of the instructions... If you need them just tell me.
I don't know if this problem is already fixed? But I should suggest, if the comment of Asap170 doesn't work, to try to change your tv configuration. I had some troubles with my configuration, but it wasn't a sony bravia. I could set a lot of configurations like widescreen, movie size, normal size, etc...
