...entering my first competition tomorrow at my local Camera Club, with the following 2 pics.
I've seen the entries presented at the last comp, and the work ranged from the odd crap one to mainly very good to the odd few that were brilliant....I'm fully expecting to be in the first category with these, but they do say the best way to learn is to submit what you think are your best couple of shots & let the judge do his best to criticise, while listening & learning....in at the deep end, as it were!
The one of the countryside is a gap I ride through every day on my way home & always think there's a great photo to be had there, as it's a great vista.
