I inverted the top navigation with the user info/links and search. Since nobody seems to make a topic about it, I guess I'll have to do it.
Anyway:
Do you like it?
Does it display ok?
Would you change something?
Maybe a background colour and/or border?
Maybe something else?

I like it, it makes things easier and it has a nice clean look to it. The background fits in with the overall theme.
Nice job
I was online and active as it was getting edited... It was a very confusing time for me! haha
I like it
The first thing i thought when i saw it,was that you moved to links below the user info to make room for a banner.
It doesn't display ok for me so I don't like it. First of all there is extra space to the right so I can scroll horizontal. To be able to see the three links (View posts since last visit, etc.) I have to scroll to the right.
It looks like this to me. I don't know why, but maybe it's my fault in some way

Wow that's weird. Is that Konqueror? What browser/os is it? It seems like the menu is removed?
I think it needs something to say it is Frihost such as a logo (Luke made a nice one!
). The search also looks quite busy as it has too many options.

It's Firefox 3 (compiled without official branding). The OS is Arch Linux.
Sorry, but the way it is right now, its fugly.
This can be fixed easily though, I think.
1: Curve or angle off the bottom corners of the light blue bar with the links in it. (This would make it clash less with what is below it.)
2: Change the background color of everything above the links to something other than white. The background of the text in forum threads would do okay. A gradient would also do very nicely... Oh, consecutive forum posts have alternating background colors, yes? Make the background above the links a right-to-left gradient between those two colors. (The point of this is to keep the link bar from looking like it is orphaned floating off in space on its own.)
I think you just need some fine tuning. I like it when things change up a bit. It gets boring if it stays the same all the time. Everyone needs a new challenge now and then!
Now I can see perfect in Crazy Browser
and only what I sugest is insert little gap between avatar and text. But this is not very important.

Perhaps, in your CSS, add
Code:
.subtop2 img { margin: 5px; }
or change
Code:
<img src="http://www.frihost.com/forums/images/avatars/146568911645fbb3a137d41.jpg" alt="" border="0" align="left" />
to
Code:
<img src="http://www.frihost.com/forums/images/avatars/146568911645fbb3a137d41.jpg" alt="" border="0" align="left" style="margin: 5px;" />
I'm not going to deny that I've hated the avatar image having no padding
The problems I wrote about earlier was solved when I updated the browser cache.
.. so now it display fine

+1
What about this? I added the margin for the image and changed the background colour. However, I don't really like the colour, though.
Margin's a definite improvement ^^
Perhaps tone down the background colour and thin out the line below it?
The text is better now.
I agree though I don't like the background color all that much easier. I personally thought it was fine white. Maybe if you toned down the grayish color a bit it would look a little better.
I do like the links being on the bottom rather than the top. Much easier to navigate. Before they were too high in my opinion.
Good job.
I am viewing it right now from an older monitor with a max display of 640 x 480 and it isn't working so well. The Search box and navigation links are all wrapped and stacked on top of one another, they all work, but if I didn't know what is what by heart I wouldn't be able to navigate.
I hope it is just my messed up display
Have noticed lots of improvement thanks Bondings.
Regarding the formatting, is it possible to change the font (Times Roman) to non-cursif (Arial or Verdana) so that it would match all the others? Especially the fonts that give our names, number of posts etc, next to our avatar? The writing next to the Avatar could even be made slightly smaller.
