Regular Fonts Gone! Only Bold remains.

Well, my brother has been messing around with his computer and suddenly, all the "regular" fonts have been deleted. Or at least they can't be detected by MS Word. So, all his school papers become printed bold. And it's ugly.

Anyone know a workaround or a fix to this? Any help would be appreciated.

C:/Windows/Fonts/

1: Replace the contents of this folder on the broken computer with the fonts from a working computer.

If that doesn't fix it, you've got a more complicated problem.
2: Virus scan
3: Re-install Office, if that's not a problem
4: Re-install windows.

(After each step, check to see if the problem is fixed.)
