my bad, problem solved
I guess it was because you didn't always name the page *something*.shtml?
No... It was due to me viewing the page from the file manager, not by going to the page direct... make sense? HAHA

Yes indeed, then the pages aren't interpreted by the server, the raw contents are shown. It's the same with php files.
