I want to eliminate my traditional way of compressing site contents with the use of tables. Anyone who can give some tips on div layout are very much appreciated. Please Help me.

Also, it might be good to read some articles on A List Apart. They have all kinds of articles on best practices and neat code tricks to help you get started.
