A grammar answer

Hello, I'm brazillian and last week, during my english class, my teacher said that lie means two things... I just knew it...
He said that Lie, meaning telling a lie, in continuous form, is liing, not lying (as I thought it was), and Lie, meaning putting yourself down, in continuous form, is lying...
Well, I searched it and I've found in the dicionary that both is Lying ( not liing, like my teacher said) and I decided show it to him...
He telled me that both are right , and some countries uses "Liing" to diferenciate the meaning of the word, but in formal use, he said that's batter use Lying for them.
Now I decised to ask it, to know if it's really occur, or if he told me a Lie Razz

Thanks
See you

In a lifetime of extensive reading, including English-language books from many countries and nearly all time periods, I've never seen the word 'liing'.
Nor have I ever seen any English word with two consecutive 'i's when spelled correctly.

Normally, if an author thinks it is important to differentiate between the two, he or she will use changes of wording to make it obvious.
Example:
Instead of "Are you lying?"
They might write, "Are you telling me a lie?"
Or they might simply change it to "Are you lying to me?", which couldn't rationally be misinterpreted.

Also, when used in the form meaning 'to lay', it is almost always followed by 'on' or 'down'
such as 'lying down' or 'lying on the couch'. (Though that second one could still be misinterpreted...)

Another way to differentiate is to use the alternative spelling 'laying'.

Oh, thanks...
I asked him where they use 'liing', and he telled me that Jamaicans and Singaporeans do it.
