i am having an issue with oblivion, it seems that almost every time i use a bow to shoot at someone it restarts my computer, i have only been able to use 2 bows that do not do this, anyone have any idea as to what is causing this?

I can't be sure whats causing the problem but have you tried the good old re-installing or repairing? It might be that something specific to the bows like textures are corrupt or something.

What mods are you running?
It's most likely a problem with a mod, or again - the game may need a reinstall. This will fix most problems. Also make sure you're running the latest patches and the unofficial Oblivion patch. Starrfoxx
It's also important to know what kind of computer you are using. Oblivion needs some good hardware depending on the settings that you are using.
If you are running Oblivion on an older computer, you might want to try the Oldblivion mod. It works rather well, especially on laptops. David_Pardy
Actually, another question - has this problem always happened or has it only recently started happening?
