forget photoshop
moving this to websites.
It's a really nice thing, but I'd rather use photoshop or even gimp if that's installed.

It's a cool idea, however the quality is nowhere near as high as Photoshop. Some of you may not notice it, but I have a very high powered computer setup just for graphic design, and I can really notice it.
Not to mention that once you start getting 200+ layers, my guess is that the browser will more than likely crash. And yes, I do OFTEN get over 200+ layers.
Though I guess it is ok to use if you do not have a good enough computer to be able to install Photoshop, or cannot afford it.
But it definitely does NOT beat Photoshop.
Cool find though.

It's seem nice but I still use my old Photoshop rather, even it's not the newest version.
Such online editors are useful when we just need to resize or crop an image.
I often use Web Resizer and suggest it to friends who insist on sending 5MB pictures taken with fancy digital cameras.
This one's really cool. It's very useful if you're on the go and you're using someone else's computer and it doesn't have Photoshop installed. Though, the quality is not in par with Photoshop. Well, it's forgivable since it's free and browser dependent.
However, forgetting Photoshop is not very likely to happen.
Photoshop is just great!

Wow that's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing. As keane said, it's very useful if you are on someone else's pc and it doesn't have the photoshop, but it certainly can't be alternative to photoshop. =)
Cool! I will add this to my bookmarks. I use Photoshop myself, but this is great for friends that only have mspaint on their machine... :) Thank you for the tip!

How many home users across the world have a "true" Photoshop kit? I think not many... anyway, in Eastern Europe be sure that people don't have "Adobe Photoshop CS4 (Windows Vista / XP): Buy new: $699.99" (Amazon) to buy it.
So, this website is perfect for them. But this people are not Adobe customers.
On the other hand, how many companies are so cheap to prefer this instead of a true professional kit. (and I don't add anything now about working with BIG images - 20meters tif banners I use to work with).
So, this is a great toy... for quick use and for people that are modifying pictures very rare.
Now, the question is: GIMP or PIXLR?

Thanks for sharing the link.
That could be really useful when I'm on the fly, and don't have photo editing software available.
Haven't tried it out yet, but I certainly will. Have anyone else tried it out? Any comments or remarks?

If you use image editors a lot, I would install a program (f.ex. Gimp). But if I rarely use it, or I use many different pcs (f.eks. a public library), it's easy to just go to a website, and let it fix it. A lot like mail program versus web mail.
I DO agree that this cannot be compared to Photoshop. I use it every day at work. I wouldn't even exchange it for Photoshop Elements.
not a replacement for photoshop, but I can see where it could be handy. When I go to my moms and have no access to my programs I could use this for photo editing. I will definately reccomend it to friends. I tried it and it seems pretty cool.
I mentioned this site on another thread... I like it when photoshop is not available

I will send to all my friends who don't have photoshop. A real help for them, when they have only Paint on their machine to work with..

Like I mentioned before, this is perfect for someone who cannot afford Photoshop.
Or in some cases, where you may need Photoshop but are not on a computer that has Photoshop at the moment. Which just happened to me. I was at a friends place and needed to do something for a client real quick. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it until I got home, but then I remembered this thread and went straight to it.
Once again, thanks for sharing!

That's pretty cool, actually. It's obviously not going to cut the mustard for a graphics professional (or an unemployed pixel-tweaking nerd girl), but for resizing and minor retouching or adjustments, it's fine. I use GIMP, because it's free, modified with GIMPshop, which rearranges the menus to be like Photoshop, but I bookmarked Pixlr in delicious in case I need to do some quick image editing on a computer without a good graphics app.
