How many have stories to tell about dimming/turning off lights for one hour for Earth Day? I understand there was an "Earth Hour" movement that advocated turning off lights on Mar 28:

At least some people dimmed (again?) on Earth Day, April 22. I'm not sure if it was considered an "official" Earth Day activity or not, but we turned off nearly all of the lights from 9:00 to 10:00. I suggested a reason for doing it was that Google wanted to take a picture, so I had everyone say "cheese". I walked outside for awhile and thought about looking at stars, but of course the street lights were still on. I did see what I thought MIGHT have been the big dipper. Oh, the sacrifices we make to live in the city.

This isn't technically news, since it's not based on a particular news story; the Earth category didn't seem quite right either. It surely doesn't belong in "general" though, does it? Come to think of it, it's a pretty cheesy post ... Maybe I need to suggest a new category ...

PS: you may be right, I may be crazy, but we all enjoyed the weekend for a change.
