Add PayPal

I am developing a new website and would like to add e-commerce using PayPal.

Can someone please advise regarding the difficulty of adding PayPal to a website? This would be the PayPal Standard version.

How difficult is it to add automated sales tax and shipping costs capability?

How about the accounting aspects?

Thanks in advance for any replies Very Happy

you should try magento
http://www.magentocommerce.com/

They have paypal support, tax, shipping, reports and a lot more. Somewhere on their site you'll also find a demo.

writing it yourself would be possible, but to get the same quality you'd have to be good and need a lot of time.

Short answer is: not too difficult.

If you are not comfortable integrating paypal to your website, you can try various of shopping cart out there.

If you think you are ready to do some ecommerce:

Actually, I recommend Magento. I've been using it at work to make several sites, and it's extremely powerful as things go. In addition, with knowledge of the Zend framework, it's possible to have /everything/ completely to your liking. The template system is also easy to use, it only took about half an hour for me to learn how to use it Smile

You can go to paypal, create a business account, and from there you can add shopping card to your website. It pretty simple, you can do it yourself. I think y ou should use paypal shopping cars, it secure and easy to use.

I have a small online store. At first I coded all the HTML myself and put the PayPal buttons straight into the page, but later I realized that it's actually much easier to go with ZenCart. That's what I'd recommend.
