Hi everybody.
A friend of mine created a frihost account ages ago. He got the hosting, and then went inactive for about a year. Then he came back to see about -250 points on his account.
Consider following frihost rule:
It seems he can't really, within the rules, get his hosting back without making ~100 new posts. During the year that gave him the negative points he used almost no space and no bandwidth on the server.
What I think should be an option is on of the following:
1: "Reset points"
A button in the "account" page could be "reset points" which basically asks an admin to reset points to 0. It could even be automated and say something like "your points will be reset to 0 in 14 days. You will receive an email once they have been reset". That way there is nothing there to be abused.
2: "Limit negative points"
Another option would be, that once a member has his hosting account deleted because his points are too low, they are immediately reset, or set to something like -20 or -10. For this really to be effective, the moderators would also have to delete accounts more consistently once points reach something like -50 or -100.
What do you think?
