Panoramas - self made

steve1200
Hey Guys!

I've made a few panoramas with photoshop. Could you possibly be so kind to give me some feedback?

So:
Panorama 1:
(Dienten am Hochkönig, Austria)

Panorama 2:
(Seeboden am Millstädtersee, Austria)

Thanks, in advance!
Steph

Yeah these are great!!!

I've just started to get into panoramas and I did one of Sydney, Australia, but I then turned it into a mini planet/Globe, which you can do with any panorama!!! Very Happy =P

Here it is : http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaeljscott/3423739908/ (View it large) Razz

I recommend you trying this out on yours!

Thank you!

That looks awful, but I've no idea how to create something like that?
So if you could tell me, how you did it, I would be very thankful!
I use Photoshop cs4.

greets
Steph

edit: I think the panoramas should be complete 360° or? Mine are not. They are about 150° to 180° ... =/

I think your panoramas look very nice. Nice job! Congratulations! Wink

What camera did you use to take those photos?
steve1200
I use a Casio Exilim EX-Z80. Nothing special, only a small compact camera.
I took several photographs and put them with photoshop together. Those aren't whole photos.

Not too bad, but there are some big beginner mistakes in here. In some spots where you tried to put the other part of the different image in there, you can see where it ends or begins. You can't see them unless you zoom into the full size.

When you look at it zoomed in, look at the sun, and then a little below it and to the right. You should see it, it doesn't look correct. You need to work on that. It's in the trees, it's like a white vertical rectangle.

Then if you look closely to the right of the image kind of where the mountains are in the far back, it does it two more times.

Also the trees are very blurred in some areas. It looks like you tried to blur it to make it fit in more correctly, but it doesn't look correct.

Other than that not bad. Just some blur problems that need to be taken care of.

That was all in the first image by the way.

Those look awesome, keep it up!
You need a flickr account Razz

I don't know whether you like the Sydney shot?

I use a program called DP HDR : http://www.mediachance.com/hdri/index.html

And this program pretty much does it all Very Happy

You can make a standard wide angle shot look good with the 'Globe/Planet' effect, as I did with the Sydney shot Very Happy
steve1200
Thank you!

I think i'm going to try the programm out. =)

You can also use another program called Hugin: http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

I thought you might be interested that I have found this really great panorama stitching program, its virtually seamless: http://www.ptgui.com/

I have already done a few panoramas and I'll try to get them up soon on my Flickr Photo stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaeljscott/

Thank you!

I'm going to try it!
