My media pass also allowed me to shoot the actual race, so on the last day of the four day event I went in early and tried my hand at motor sports photography. I chose not to shoot the actual Clipsal 500 as I didn't feel 100% that I knew what I was doing and I didn't want to get in the way of the guys who make this their living.
I shot the lead up race which featured more "sports" cars?? (forgive my ignorance as I am one of the odd Aussies who doesn't watch motor sport, football or cricket)
Full credit to the guys who make motor sport photography a livelihood, becasue I sucked big time!!! Of the car shots I took, this one here is the only one where the car actually looks like it's moving!! I think I will stick to bands! lol!
