I'm curious about the new show starting in May on CBS called "Three Rivers". It's supposed to be a hospital show about organ transplant and it's based in PA because organ transplant was started there.
Does anyone have any information about the origins of organ transplant in PA or information about why this show would be based in PA? I've never heard anything to associate this lifesaving procedure with the home of the "Steelers". I find it fascinating that this type of procedure has its roots in the Midwest. I'd love to find out more about its origins.
