Im actually suprised there aint a premier league thred, its the most watched sport in history and frihost dont have a dedicated premier league football thread?
I think their should be one...
start it... OMG @ MAN UTDS poor performance at Fulham, but it makes the title chase interesting!
There's not really much interest in football on here, which is why i have never bothered posting in the sports section.
Man utd should still win the league,if they win their game in hand it will give them a 4 point cushion, and with games running out for Liverpool,it should be enough.
Liverpool drew too many games over christmas, had they gone for it back then, they could be well clear of united by now,but you never know, with their 5-0 win over Villa yesterday, they have momentum, whereas united have lost 2 on the bounce,if they get knocked out of either/both of the FA cup and champions league,it could have a knock on effect to their confidence and league form and Liverpool could sneak in and take it.
I think that decisive game will be against Arsenal for both Liverpool and Manchester United. for now Liverpool plays fantastic but i am still convinced that Man U will take the title
Now it's the question whether Liverpool can keep their current form. United will drop more points, no doubt about it, but they currently have still 1 point gap + 1 match in hand (possibly 4 point gap), so Liverpool needs to keep winning. I'm not a fan of either team, but I'm rooting for Liverpool, since it's too boring for 1 team to win it for 3 consecutive years. It's like when I rooted for United 3 years a go when Chelsea were owning the league. My biggest hope though, is the top three drop a lot of points and at the end Arsenal steal it !
r4nim4ker, you hate champions? lol
Well since the world cup qualifiers have been it would be interesting to see how fresh or fatigued the players are?
Really suprised bout the lack of support for the most widely acknowledged best sport in the world *darn geeks* lol
Scousers have got momentum, but they also have got easy games coming up, I just hope man utd dont slip up... I was expecting man utd to thrash fulham...
guess we'll find out wen the prem league resumes!

More correctly, I hate lack of competitions, lol. MU had won it for two successive seasons, so this year I hope somebody else win it. Now Liverpool are on top of the league, things are getting more and more interesting. For this evening match between MU and Aston Villa, my hope is a draw. Then Arsenal's grip on 4th place would be much stronger, and the top two would be level on point (albeit MU still has 1 game in hand).

If Man United beat the Villains (Aston Villa) this afternoon, they will restore their 1 point lead, if they draw, Liverpool will lead the competition with 1 point, but, if United lose, they'll be 1 point behind the Reds.
All that I hope is a draw, so none of them (United and Villa) will get excited. Though its MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, I would like to see Arsenal stealing the title.
I hope that Man Utd beat Villa so that Arsenal inch closer to Champions League Football! It'll be a shame if the Gunners don't qualify for the UEFA Champions League
Nothing is impossible,
Arsenal are back on form with all their key players firing on all cylinders besides Eduardo. Chelsea look strong but Liverpool are like a goal scoring machine they should have beat Fulham atleast by 3 goals.
Hopefully Man Utd will be back on form but most of their wins have been 1-0's. I am worried Utd may slip up and lose momentum

Arsenal were responsible for handing on the Champions League sport to Aston Villa. It was because Arsenal started the season with poor form, defeated by small teams like Fulham, Hull, Stoke, Man City and Aston Villa. It was because the Gunners had squad problem, having only Cesc Fabregas as professional midfielder and Denilson and Song as trainees while Diaby was up-and-down with injuries.
Eduardo and Rosicky were long absentees, Flamini left, Hleb left, Gelberto Silva left.
So young Jack, newbie Aron Ramsey and youngsters Denilson and Song where their first season to start in the first team.
Adebayor was straggling with form and was out several weeks with injuries and suspensions.
Galas caused captaincy problems and dressing room quarrel among the team, Kolo Toure was not in good shape and was recovering from Malaria.
Cesc was covering the defense and was not in his attacking style. Then he and Theo Walcott were sidelined with long term injuries.
Super Nick was only 20 and was not good in front of the goal.
So Van Persie, Sagna, Clichy and Almunia were the only experienced players in the team. Samir Nasri had a rookie debut in the premier league and was doing well too.
The manager made nice buy in January and brought Arshavin. The Russian helped the Gunners. He is dynamic attacker and I really, really liked his form of play.
Hopefully the Gunners are back and all the injured players are fine now. Cesc, Walcott, Adebayor are all flaying now. Van Persie, Eduardo and Nasri may be fit withing a week to lead the Gunners to FA Cup + Champions League glory.
Arsenal recaptured their 2004 form again. Alas! Its too late.
Rosicky is in training will be playing in the first team in May, hopefully.
The manager should keep all the players together in the summer so they'll get back next year stronger than ever before with all the young players having premier league/champions league experience.
Still the Gunners have tough games ahead Liverpool (away), Chelsea (home), Man United (away). The toughest is Liverpool. Hope van Persie will test them again.
Aston Villa lost momentum. They were good last night leading the game until the 84th minute. I think they will lose their next game too. They lost confidence and with Everton beating Wigan 4 - 0 last night, Villa will be too weak to cope. Arsenal will travel to Wigan that time and I hope they will put a daylight between them and the struggling Villains.

I don't want United to win something this year. Liverpool should claim the premier league this year since its out-of-reach for Arsenal.
Aston Villa VS Man Utd was a tremendous game! The adrenaline in the last few minutes was unbelievable ... Macheda ... created a goal from nothing!
It looks like its going to be the same top four again, shame, as i was hoping Aston Villa would break the monopoly this year, and it now looks likely that they won't even finish in 5th,with Everton only 1 point behind them.
They may not get another chance as Manchester City with their money and Harry Redknapps Spurs could be the main challengers to the so called big four next season.
