So I've been catching up on the whole HTML 5/XHTML 2 discussions over the new standards. It seems as if browsers are supporting html5 in the next spec. Some of the ideas of xhtml2 seem good to me, like the fact that it moves to xml, which is supported by major browsers. But I think html5 has good points too.
http://xhtml.com/en/future/x-html-5-versus-xhtml-2/ had some good comparisons.
I think i also like <nl> over <nav> and <section>'s with <h> seems logical. And I agree with that site about pretty much all of the "uncool" points on html5.
Anyway, I'm sure html 5 will be a nice improvement, but probably nothing we will appreciate until about 5 years after it's official.
Thoughts?
