I use foxyproxy for that. You can customize your own site masks (ie *google*) and add a lot of different proxies.

I already have a lot of extensions.... If you add to many Firefox will be slow. At least that is the experience i had with too many.

I have 15 extensions, one kick ass theme (not an installed theme - stylish theme) and my Firefox uses 82 MB of ram. Then again, my Firefox uses Aero to be translucent, so my tabs are translucent, my address bar is and basically everything above the website you can see through.
