Car or Bike which is better????
Just want to know which you think is better Whether car or bike, you can also tell which one you own
Im not old enough to drive a car, but when I am 18 after 6 months I will immediately start getting my driver licence. I don't hate cycling, but in the winter or when it is raining a car is very handy because you don't get it cold. But in the summer I prefer the bike, because it is too hot in the car then.
Well, I guess if you are in the middle of Manhattan during peak traffic hour, a bike may be much more useful than a car. If you want to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, a car will be better. Depends what you want to use if for. I used to have a bike, but no longer have one in the Middle East. I prefer a car, very convenient, and of course when it is hot over here you can turn on the air-conditioning. When the wind is blowing gale force, you can close the windows. But you are taking your life in your own hands. Standard of driving is of the worst in the world. Kamakaze drivers here.

So right about that good point
It all depends on where you are. If you've got a 30-mile commute, clearly a bike isn't for you. If you work down the block, a car isn't necessary. Unless you've got other places to go that are farther. Overall, the car is more versatile because it can take you to places near or far relatively quickly, though if you live near a dependable mass transit system, it still might not be necessary.
I own both a car and a bike, but I prefer the car because of the freedom. You can go where you want, when you want to. No distance restrictions like a bike, and no waiting for scheduled hours like on a mass transit system.

It depends where you are, and what uses you are going to have for the car/bike. In the UK you can start driving when you are 17, and bikes at 16 - often the opinion is you might as well wait until you can drive as it's a bit of a waste of money. Also I like the idea of having something around you if you crash. I can see that the uses of mopeds are a great idea in congested city centres though.
I prefer a bike but I agree that a car is better if you want to go a long distance but in the city a bike is all I need. If they banned the cars from driving on the roads it would be much easier to use the bike, and I would like that. It's also much more environment-friendly that way. With bike I mean bicycle.
Ever wondered what would be faster on a race track between a car and a motorcycle? Easy answer right? Well maybe not. A few seasons back, the UK car show Top Gear did a car versus bike comparison and determined a Porsche Carerra 4s was quicker than a Yamaha R1 in a head to head race
well, when trying to get around campus, I think a bike is a much better option, but for going out of town I don't know how far I'd be willing to go on just my bike. For getting groceries and stuff I prefer a car.
If your daily commute is maybe a mile or so away, or heck, maybe even 10, ride a bike and feel good. Of course, if you work 50 miles from your house, and can't move closer, maybe you do need a car.
i prefer and have a car which is better in our country for many reasons, as deanhills mentioned convenient for the hot weather and winds, also if you get stuck in the traffic you can listen to the radio
rather then lose your temper, also i don't think bikes are allowed in the traffic in my country unless it is a motorbike, which very few people own other then the delivery or courier people.

I think they are not made for the same use but for daily use, I will prefer car because bike under the rain are really too dangerous

I only own a bike and use it to travel around my city and it gets me where I need to go, but once I get a car I doubt I will use my bike as much as I will have the option to use my car (Faster).
I like biking for enjoyment though and will always use a bike sometimes.

I used to ride my bike to locations in the distance up to 10km a while, but I stopped it after a while. I won't say it's because I'm lazy, but it is just unpleasant for me when I arrive, for example, at school sweated and have to sit there with all that sweat
probably not very attractive for other people, either
So I use public transport and also often a car. I don't own one myself because a friend of mine lives in the same village and goes to the same school as me - so I drive with him nearly every day. Also, I can use the cars by my parents very often, so it doesn't make much sense to me to get another car.
Since I live in a village, maybe the nature topic should be mentioned, too. I like to take a walk through the forest, but I never ride my bike for enjoyment now. When I want to move through nature with something different than my own feet, I neither ride a car nor a bike, I ride a horse

Depends on the weather, what I need to pickup and who I am transporting besides myself. Bike is good because much better fuel mileage than either of my cars. Car is much safer and warmer in the winter snows.
Personally, I don't like being in a car, and prefer using a bike. Only problem is that I can't go very far on a bike where I like (there's a lot of hills and dirt roads), and a car can get me into the city. I voted for both.
..bus! : D
I own neither a bike nor a car, so i'm stuck either walking everywhere, or getting on the good old transit systems. I'm way too chicken to ride on the rode on a bike, and i'm also way to chicken to learn how to drive a car. Cars especially, because even if I drive fine, other drivers aren't always alert. :c

Although the exercise is nice on a bike, cars are better. You don't get rained on, its more comfortable, you can go farther faster, but more importantly you're not as "squishy" to the other cars
Cars are better since they can travel further and carry more things...
in my opinion the car is the better choice...thats why i drive more comfortable and doesnt matter if it is a sunny or a rainy day you know?
of course the bike give an unique sesation of freedow, but it i need to take only one the car is my vehicle...

I love my bike so much!! I can't wait until I move into town so I can give my car to my little sister and ride my bike and take the bus everywhere. XD I have a sweet like "tote-cycle" from the 50's that is great for carrying lots of stuff -- I've gone grocery shopping for my whole family with it. It's more fun than driving and more exercise! Plus I've added a little "sound system" to my handlebars so I can listen to music while I ride. ^_^
i would love use a bike all the time, but i just can't trust the other people on the road.
depends on certain situations, but well, I think that driving a car is far more safer, while you get much more handaling with a bike..
for me a car..!
car is more comfortable to use..
you can use it anywhere and you can drive it in a long drive
unlike riding in the bike you will get tired driving it..!

For me.. Both.
I have owned a Bike and a Car and I love both. Car gives you the joy of riding and ability to relax and calm down. Bike is more like a blood rush, very very good
Bikes are better! (cheaper, healthier, better petrol efficiency
). But I have both.
I will just use my bike when i wanted to buy something in our near place but if it is far from my home, i'd better use my car for safety reasons...
I prefer to drive my bike. I used to travel up to 800 KM/day on this if I am with a good company...
I only have a Bike (one for the road and one for the Woods) because I'm only 16 years old. On a regional tv channel, they even did the test. From my village to the heart of the Capital (15-20km) in the morning with alot of traffic. They started at the same time .... and guess what... the Bike won!
So the Bike is even quicker to go to workin my case.

It really depends.
I would drive if I had luggage or the weather was terrible, but otherwise biking would be better.

I prefer to drive a bike co's it exercise our body and save mother earth i mean lack of pollution .
Depends on the situation, at school a bike is better, though traveling between school and home a car is best. Although, probably the best was to get to get from home to school would be a train, but that's not available, and the bus service is very overpriced...
The bike is mostly better. It gives you exercise and is better for the environment. Where I live, it's most often also faster to go by bike than by car.
The bad thing is that it's so cold during this time of the year.

I think it depends on where you're going. Long distances, you're going to need a car for sure. However, simply biking to work seems like the better thing to do, though you'll sweat a bit more but your body will thank you for it.
I prefer driving a car whether it's a near or long distance travel.
I remember my aunt use to tell me that having to wear a helmet restricts you from styling your hair, so cars are always better.

Yep, you're right. I'd rather bike to work, but I live a bit too far away from the office. I haven't owned a bike for years, but my wife and I have been looking at getting bikes. Bikes are also much better on the environment.

I subscribe to this.
Check my video made last year: public transportation (electric tram) + scooter (did I use the right word?) versus car:

I have a bike and I love it, I use it for wheeling, driving. I think a bike is a better option as we get the scenic views during driving. Its open from all sides so we get the cool breeze hitting us which feels so natural. A car is fine in the situation when we are in a group travelling and also want more safety.
Both are best in their own way.

I prefer Bikes.
They are fuel efficient, easy to maneuver and easy to park.
I think these three reasons are enough to support a bike

It all depends…
If you don’t have anything heavy to carry, if the weather is nice and if the road is good and safe for bike, definitely bike! Otherwise, car – it is great to be able quickly wherever you need to. Sometimes it is even better to use public transport… It really all depends of your needs.

For us...motorbike (scooter) for my husband to go to his work, the car for shopping and so and in the summertime our trike for pleasure.
I imagine that by "car," you are referring to a personal automobile used for non-commercial purposes and by "bike," you are referring to a foot-powered bicycle and not a motorcycle. If this is the case, I'd have to say that ultimately you are comparing apples and oranges and I'll explain why.
Regarding convenience, cars are generally more handy to get around with than bicycles. They require hardly any physical exertion, which pays off hugely if you are traveling several miles and need to be some place relatively soon. You can also transport many things that are too large, too heavy or just too numerous to transport alone. However, most new cars are generally around 20 to 40 times more expensive than even the most high-end bicycles on the market and are furthermore heavier on the wallet to maintain. And because of the incredible number of moving parts in an automobile, there are more chances of more things needing to be fixed or replaced than there are on a bicycle.
Regarding the environment, the automobile is an enormous consumer of non-renewable resources and also an emitter of very toxic pollutants, whereas the bicycle comparitively has virtually no impact on air quality or any other aspect of the planet. However, just as any other commercial product, commercial bicycles are made in a factory and those factories typically take up a lot of space, use electricity and, ironically, rely on gas powered automobiles to not only have their materials shipped to them but also to ship their product out to stores.
I'm sure there are tons of other examples but I should probably get back to my job so I'll just say this: The answer to your question depends on the context of the person's life who is giving it. Personally, I use my car to haul a lot of equipment and materials around town which I could not do with my bicycle but I save a lot of money if I bike instead of drive when I'm going a shorter distance with little to no load, and I have less of an impact on the natural environment which makes me a lot happier about life.

Electric cars FTW!
i like cars. i had a bike, i sold it. i dont like motorcycles but i like a bicycle. thinking of getting a new car soon eh!
They both have their advantages, of course. Cars enable you to travel long distances at your convenience. Buses come and go according to a schedule, thus most sane modernized people that don't live in the intercity require at least one car per family. Bikes pollute less, and are human powered, which means they can only go as far as you can. If you're going someplace in the neighborhood, why not. If you're traveling between your house and work, and you live close enough to bike, your ass needs to get a better job. Or maybe you prefer being close by. Notice that "work" isn't "school" or even "college". Just my two cents.
If I need to be somewhere closer than 5km of my house, I'll usually use my bike. If I need to be in town, my bike is my first choice also. I only use my car for large distances or if I'm heavily packed.
The car is useful when the weather is bad . So I like car .
I prefer bikes to cars. I think that the extra exercise is great. Biking to work or school instead of driving can really keep one in shape!

I'll have a bike soon.
In Italy a party organizes every year a race between transports: bike, motorbike, car, bus, metro. Then they compare cost of use and time, and bike wins almost all the times.
