Joomla

I was wondering if FriHost planned on adding Joomla or replacing Mambo with it. As Joomla is pretty much the updated version of Mambo which I beleived was released yesterday.

Joomla is developed by the core Mambo members and I dont' really recall why they left the Mambo name and started Joomla but essentially it's the same thing.

Maybe admins ll do it....
But...as for me its better to install it manually...
orno
as joomla is quite new (you said it was released only yesterday) its not quite popular....

not quite popular = noobs wont know how to use it = more questions to be answered = more time + effort...

so for now, i think Bondings will stick to Mambo... besides its part of cPanel + Fantastico

If you want to install Joomla, you can always do it yourself Smile
Bondings
I don't code fantastico, so I really can't decide what to add. Mambo and joomla are now two different cms's. There might have been a discussion between the developers, so they split up, in my opinion.

Well, essentially Joomla IS Mambo. It's an updated version and under a different name for reasons I don't recall. I think. After reading all these forum posts, I'm even more confused then before. Haha. However according to this post it explains why the developers left the Mambo name sake.

I'll probably take your suggestion and install Joomla manually.
