Yeah, Pacquiao is a filipino hero. A sports icon in his own right. Imagine him decking the Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera. And after that was his superb three-knockdown domination of Juan Manuel Marquez - which ended in a surprising draw. Muhammad Ali expressed his disappointment of how Manny was robbed of this match which was supposed to be an already won bout. Even in his last defeat to Erik Morales, he was never knocked down or looked winded despite suffering a fatal headbutt. Never did Pacquiao went down the canvass or showed any signs of being staggered. Now, he just made a toy out of the fearsome Hector Velasquez. He is bent on taking a rematch against 'El Terible' Morales despite that the Tijuana boxing hero suffered a humiliating defeat to under-rated Zahir Raheem of USA. I bet that this coming war between Morales and Pacqiao will definitely go to history as one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxing matches of all time. Hopefully, Pacquiao becomes triumphant.

Just a quick note: There are rumors that Pacquiao will definitely train closed doors and will not be publicly open to the media and visitors to avoid (what they believe) was the spying of some people of his fighting style during his training against Marquez and Morales. I think he's being more careful now.

He had a good fight and I'm very proud for his win..

But I have this one comment, I would suggest he should not stick too close relating into the political crisis of the country.. You know.. I mean, if I were him, I'll just stick on the training in the fight next year with Erik Morales (El Terrible)...

Yeah, i believe too that he should stay out of politics and celebrity spotlight. He could resume his other careers when he has completely established his name as one of the boxing greats in history. Otherwise, we may see another Luisito Espinosa in the making. Pacquiao is a great fighter, he just needs to concentrate in boxing for the meantime. Just my opinion.

Whoa! I'm so glad that many frihosters admire Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Well, I am also a proud Filipino fan of Manny.

You guys are right about the factors why Manny lose his fight with Morales, it is definitely because of the publicity thing. One tv station in the philippines definitely exploited his stardom and publicly broadcast how Manny prepared for his fight against Morales. Another thing is he became too much confident that he can takedown Morales because he knocked down Barrera whom defeated Morales on their last bout.

I hope that Pacquiao stay away from the spotlight during his preparation for his re-match with Morales and take him down and avenge his loss.

Two Pacquiao's now hold the distinction of popularity in philippine boxing scene. Bobby Pacquiao just toppled former champion Hernandez in the Corrales - Castillo undercard. Glorious Pilipinas! Viva Pacquiao!

The latest buzz is that Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao is assured to fight Erik "El Terible" Morales in January. He will be granted 2 million dollars win or lose. That much prize money, not including the pay-per-view profit that Pacquiao may earn. He is considered now as one of the richest filipino athlete to date if not in whole Philippine history. His brother Bobby Pacquiao is also suiting-up for a gigantic rematch against Hernandez come fight night. Two Pacquiao's, two champions, Twice the victory for the Pearl of the Orient Seas.

Ex-World Champ Luisito Espinosa will be a sparring partner of Manny Pacquiao in Cebu Philippines this coming November. The probability is high that they will spar with each other. Luisito can be a big help for Pacquiao for his upcoming fight for Luisito stands almost as tall as Erik Morales. I just hope that it will be monitored and televised so we can see who's the better: Luisito or Manny? Fight clips will be awesome!

Just to add for the latest in Pacquiao vs. Morales rematch: Morales says he is stronger and faster than Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao is so excited in their rematch that he wants to pound Morales so hard to make him respect the Pac-Man. On the contrary, Morales seems to be talking so much of his strength after a lackluster defeat against an underrated Zahi Raheem.

P.S.

@Budazz
