Hello, i am new to all of this and i am thinking of making a few websites of quality information and hopefully get advertising! I just wanted to know, how do you go about getting this? Do they come to you etc, or do you need to email them?? I have heard of adsence... what is this and how does it help? Also just wanting to know if i make a free website on this site CAN i have adds on it and make a profit? thanks heaps!!

your site as a solution. put a link. You can expect a small stream of traffic in that way.
Adsense advertising can be placed on your website once you have created an accout with them. However if you are talking about those other advertisiments that are 'pay per view' or 'pay per impression', your website will have to be popular and probably have hits like 5000+ visitors a day. You can then email to possible sponsors who may like the idea of advertising in your site or some may just come and find you.... it all depends on how popular your site is. At the mean time, you can just work with Adsense or something similar.
