How fast do radiowaves actually go do pulsar stars change it

Parkour_Jarrod
There's something that has confused me how fast do radio waves go? i know they go faster than sound but slower than light how much slower? or is it the same as light? does it depend on the freq?

because i know that pulsar stars send out a radio wave when they spin every 0.6-0.9 of a second apparently but it reaches earth the same time as it would if it was light.... does that mean its as fast as light or about 99.9% as fast? or it it because the pulsar is spinning so rapidly its impossible to determine when it was actually sent

Radio waves are em radiation - photons. They travel at the speed of light.

thought so, thanks

If it helps, visible light and those radio waves you mention are actually exactly the same thing, just at different frequencies.
Parkour_Jarrod
oh, now it makes sense thanks guys

Radio waves are Electromagnetic waves so they travel with the speed of light. Not more and not less. Exactly the speed of light. ( c = 3 * 10^8 m/s )
