Hey!

Is there a way to make a network for two computers using an USB-USB cable?
How?

Thanks!

Yes it is possible using a 'bridged' USB

You can but it is easier, cheaper, and faster using Ethernet. Most PCs these days have Ethernet built in, get a cross over Ethernet cable and you can share files, printers etc just like you can on a fully fledged network.

I'm wondering ...why would anyone want to do that ....except for just experimenting ....

is it actually used by someone ?

Well, I have an old computer that doesn't have NIC, I used to connect it via parport but USB is a lot faster.

Really, I use this cable for backing up some things to my OLD-ARCH-LINUX-SMB-SERVER.
