Facing Many Problems

As i m new with cpanel so i am facing so many problems with it. first of all i uploaded my files with ftp and it is uploaded but i cant open my site. dont know whats the problem is with it. it doesn't contain any directory but has index.htm

and 2ndly i m using phpbb forum but can anybody tell me where is banner configuration?

First of all, it's http://mbfnotes.frihost.net/ . Very Happy

The 404 I then got, is due to the fact that you deleted all the files in your account. They were there with a reason. Shocked

Luckily I found everything in the trash bin and restored it. Now at least you can see something if you go to your website.

The following will probably come in the faq if I have some time.

The folder you should use for your website is the public_html. See it as your root folder. Not the one you were uploading to. The other are for the emails and other less-important stuff.
The www folder is there to redirect the www-version of your website to the non-www-version. (note that this is an internal redirect, the users who come to your website won't notice this) Please don't delete that one either. Very Happy

To see a webpage, upload an index.html into your public_html folder and put some text in it. This will be your home page.

You can add a mod or a hack to allow you to upload/change your banner. I would recomend you this links so you can check it:

Also, the hack i would recomend is Powerful Banner Exchange (also displayed on the first link i gave you).

You can then upload your banner and delete all others (or user severall banners).

thanks for the help but tell me i should aware pf php to change the banner or i can simple change the banner by replacing the logo with my own banner?

If you just need to change the banner once, a simple file replacement would be sufficient & good enough.

but (as implied in your original post), if you want a place where the banner is configurable, then you need to install one of the mods that Bockman has suggested above.
and you don't need to have any knowledge of php for doing any of these.

a know how of the basic usage of notepad is a must, though

Go to your templates folder, and go into the folder that is your "new template", then now, check if this is in the new template:

the folders there should be, admin and images. if not, there is something wrong.

You must not have renamed your folder too, it MUST stay as the name given to you.
