iPod Jack

I see many new cars have a female adapter for iPods. What type of cable is needed to connect an iPod to the car jack. It looks like it might be a double male end like the normal male end of the headphones. Am I guessing correctly? How hard are these jacks to find and how much do they cost?

Go to RadioShack and ask. They have all kinds of versions, including male-male connectors. They usually run about $10 or $20.

This cable (Aux in) should be connected directly to te car radio. You can attach connector to every place in car, it's simple Smile

If you're talking about what looks like a headphone jack - yep, just go to Radio Shack and ask for a 1/8" male to 1/8" male stereo (also may be called TRS) cable. Three feet should be plenty, probably run you about $10US. Sound quality will be much better than those damn iTrip radio things.

Oddly, Best buy had them at 10.99 in black and 7.99 in white. I obviously bought white. Why would one pay three extra dollars for black?
