Have you ever had this problem with Windows XP where you suddenly found that the view order has changed from the default?
For example, whenever you do a File operation like Open, Save etc., the explorer dialog window will display the file in a different order.
I have had this problem all of sudden and couldn't find any registry tweak to get rid of it.
So I searched on the Net and came across this solution.
Solution:
Open Windows Explorer and click on any folder to see its contents.
On the right window, right-click on View>Details.
Now click on the order you want it. For example, click on 'Name' of you want the file contents to be arranged by name.
Then, press the Ctrl key and click on the X to close the explorer window, keeping the Ctrl key pressed.
Now Windows will remember your last file view order.
