Well first of all, runescape is a game that i love to hate. In my honest opinion it is a very well-designed game with a lot of monsters and choices to make, like what skill to train, even though some skills like theiving, farming, construction, summoning and of course agility i find tedious after time and extremly boring but they are required for some quests but really they all pay off at the end and are very useful.

Admittedly there is'nt much to to on free to play which would put people off if they did'nt want to pay 3.20 a month but most of the time the extreme variety of things to do outweighs the fact that it costs money and that the graphics are pretty poor. The trade system on the game used to be ok but was adjusted due to an update and got pretty much wrecked. Then a trading center called the grand exchange came into play which made up for the update and made trading considerably better and easier. The many methods of training, mini games and quests makes runescape become very addictive as you can log on and have a plan of what you are going to do for the whole day, or for how ever much time you have on your hands, for instance, right now i am fletching whilst writing this as fletching is another tedious task, which takes time so you can do it easily whilst doing somthing else. Another bad point of the game is the automatic log out which occurs if you dont click anything on the game in around two minutes, this gets extremly annoying , having to log back in especially if you have a large username or password. Another good thing is the simplicity of what happens and the depth of some of the skills also the sheer size of the p2p map which should take you awhile to explore while the f2p is very limited and can be explored easily and quite quickly. I would recomend playing runescape as a free player, completing the quests and training your player up a bit, then if you enjoy it changing to members to enjoy the multiple benefits of that. There is also a huge variety of armours and weapons, that you equip to your character as you progress, get stronger and level up you will be able to purchase/make better armour and weapons to have, making your chance of death less and less. Overall runescape is a better game that people give it credit for and has a alot of depth under its disguise as a simply mmorpg (massively muliplayer online role playing game) I would recommend to anyone who has'nt played it, to defiantly sign up and play a while in their spare time and i would have to give to a 9/10 for the sheer addictiveness of it.
