Cracking ride down to Milton Keynes last sunday to the scooter custom show.
Bloody cold all day, but I had the nuclear warfare suit on, balaclava & 2 pairs of gloves, so I was fine....Worsborough just before getting on the M1 motorway in the morning.
As there wasn't a cloud in the sky all day, the bright sunshine literally blinded me most of the way down..whichever way I turned it seemed to be just above the horizon level and made viewing anything up front almost impossible....loads of times I feared as I couldn't see anything in front of me, as I did 55-60mph, how the heck could cars behind me see me in front of them, while they were approaching at 75-80? yikes
But I survived !
At the show/part fair were not many scooters, but some real crackers....mostly Lambrettas & mod style was the main order of the day for me to oggle.
...and back at Tibshelf services for a £2 cup of coffee flavoured washing up water.
270 miles done in the day, all in temperatures hovering around freezing.
Good stuff, if you don't weaken!
