Open Office Calc help

So, I was trying to make a graph of money in my bank account just for fun. I have a spreadsheet with all the transactions and dates. I could get a basic chart, but I could not figure out how to scale the x-axis correctly, right now it just shows like all of the dates in order and I don't think it is scaled at all. Is there a way to scale by dates?

What kind of chart do you use? I think you should use XY (Scatter). And make sure the X and Y-Values are correct.
