Just was thinking one day if we should even compare the two, Photoshop and Coral Draw.
Guys tell me which one u think is better....
I think Photoshop it better
Photoshop definitely, although I haven't used the other a whole lot. I know that with Photoshop you can do just about anything, pretty amazing really. There are tons of tutorials out there for beginners too to learn the ropes. Photoshop all the way for mine.
Ive always found that the best one to use photo shop,
Ive had great fun with that one!!!

My hubby says photoshop is better. I however can only use CorelDraw (I'm a noob) LOL

he's so right about that
Well photoshop mostly deals with rasterized images while corel draws deals with vector based objects, so but are necessary for their specific purpose.
But if you had said either corel draw or illustrator, I would have gone for Illustrator, becoz its the best for creating vector based objects. The quality is truely amazing.
Photoshop, guys, Photoshop. I'd prefer Photoshop because of its simplicity and easiness. I can use it with everything related to design, editing, etc...
Wat do you mean coreldraw?
coreldraw is vectorial package photoshop is totally different
its more like illustrator or coreldraw
or do you mend coreldrawphoto?
if you can afford it stick with photoshop
They are in two completely different design fields, so they cannot really be compared to each other.
Though I choose to stick with Adobe programs. I have very few programs that are not Adobe, and that would only be my program I make terrain like scenes, and two 3D programs.
The point is there, these are realy different softwares for different purpose.
If it comes to vector graphics I mostly start with a CAD software, Rhino3D, export the linework out to Illustrator to more work with it.
I don't realy do vector work in Photoshop, but ofcourse for pixel art it is the only choice for me.
yeah, you shouldn't compare photoshop with coreldraw, since coreldraw's functionality is like Adobe Illustrator (vector graphics). It's like comparing apple with orange. In my impression, Corel used to be a very popular package for graphics, but now Adobe Creative Suites are the clear leaders.
adobe is always the winner

Exactly. However, and since everyone's answering; I'd rather photoshop.
you can't compare the two.....
you could compare CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator.... but not photoshop
So I pick Illustrator
yeah, photoshop is better, for sure. But, it's even much more expensive, so I would expect it, to be better.
Altough photoshop is bigger, and has much more features!
I haven't tried Coral Draw, but I don't really like Photoshop all that much either. I just stick with Paint Shop Pro.
Paint Shop Pro is absolute basic, if you're confortable with it, do carry on
Photoshop could do much more, and it easy enough to learn, just play about
Between Coral Painter and Photoshop, I have to say Coral Painter
Between Coral Draw and Illustrator, I have to say Adobe win
But you never know, at this rate Adobe might but up the whole Coral in the future as it seems more people are using it compared to Coral
even macramedia lost their branding to Adobe
I will always go with photoshop, I feel that it has much more options and many more ways of being able to edit, create, and finish designs. It has a lot of different details that you can use to make your projects look more than just nice, make it look beautiful. Another reason why I would pick Photoshop is the constant upgrades in the program. More and more advances are made to the program it self and shows that this program will not be going away any time soon. It is a very strong and promising program to stand by.

Well you can't really compare the two since they are totally different kinds of programs. Photoshop works with pixels whereas Corel Draw works with vectors.
I use Photoshop quite a lot but for certain things Corel Draw is far better.
Photoshop is good because it has many effects, gradients, toold, online tutorials. It is voted best on quite a few forums around the internet. I use photoshop myself and think it is a magnificent piece of art paper ready to be used in the best way possible. Photoshop has had many versions to show how good it is. It went to photoshop 6 i think then CS.
Although photoshop works with different things to corel draw, and is more expensive, I think photoshop has to be the best option.
Of course, photoshop is the best for me but it depends what type of art work you want to make. So you cannot really determin which one is best because they have different skills.
Think all the above posts are probably right about Photoshop and Coral draw but i use Paint Shop Pro cos i'm used to it and it suits my needs.
Guess that's what really matter's
yeah as stated above, their completely different apps for different purpose, and i choose photoshop still xd

If you want to compare two software packages please choose two that are for the same thing. Now half the topic is filled with | Quote: |

You can make a new topic, but choose something like "best vectorimages editor" or best 3d.
