Poem written in like 1600

Jpageau
In vain he attempted to breathe; from that very instant
his mouth overflowed foam, his only desire
was blood, as he tore among flocks and begged for slaughter
his crown distorted into hair, his limbs became twisted
now wolf he retains yet large trace of his ancient expression
primeval and judicious, yet his control has gone rabid
His eyes glow mercilessly still, the picture of fury
