Why didn't you read your pms I thought first but luckily it was a bug ... 
It must have decreased the unread pms count one time too much. 65535 is the maximum value that can be stored in an unsigned smallint in MySQL

This piece of javascript in your url bar will enable you to edit a page to make it look like you have any amount of pms,or anything else you want to temporarily edit for that matter.

I have three pages of messages in my inbox but no new messages. I've noticed you get more if you take a really active role on the forums or use the contests and marketplace forums, especially the latter.
Also, when I was really active here, I used to occasionally get messages from new members asking for help. (This I didn't mind, although I think it's best if moderators are asked.)

Nobody has pms me yet.
I am in the majority of people that posted here, I don't have any either. In fact I think I have only had two or three the entire time I have been posting here, including one that was an automated response. Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I guess I go and eat worms, or something like that.

Yeah...I definitely have zero. People have PMed me a few times in the past to ask about something I posted, or something like that...but that's rare. =)
