problems with webmail

when i try to login using the webmail i get this error:

ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
61 : Connection refused

when i log into the cp and then try to open the webmail it sends me to this page: http://localhost/squirrelmail

any idea what im doing wrong Question
