www.Snap-Rank.com Check your site's SR value

insolent1
Hi,

I would like to write about www.snap-rank.com .
Its mission is giving a current/instant rank value to your web site. The system evaluates between 0 and 100.

The system's usage is simple. You just add a GIF image to your site. It's 51px 21px GIF image.

Image Code:
Code:
  <a href="http://www.snap-rank.com" title="SNAP RANK - SR" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.snap-rank.com/www.yoursite.com.gif" border="0" /></a>

Note: Instead of "www.yoursite.com", write your site's address and use the GIF image on your site.

It has different algorithms.

I would like to see here which sites are going to use or support the system.
If anyone is interested in this topic, I would be grateful.

The site is mine. This site cannot compete with google page rank or alexa surely. But it is different ranking system. It gives only value between 0-100. It depends on its users.
There is no registration. Just using an image.

It gives current/instant rank value.

I had a look at the site, and I can appreciate the usefulness of another ranking system. I quite often check how my sites are going on various ranking/rating sites. It helps me to find areas where I can improve my SEO.

In the case of this site, I probably wouldn't use it. I don't like sites which require me to place an image on my site. I find it detracts from the quality of my site.

I think it would be better if rather than put the onus on the webmaster to register and put an image on their site, create a toolbar for their web browser that send you data about what sites they visit. Use that information to tally up which sites are most popular.

The front page does not build the trust for the site! I have to say that it looks just terrible I know that is not the issue of it existence, but, some standards for all purpose sites have to have some basics, maybe in early 80 it would be ok. but nowadays it is not.
The info on it is also very pure.

Interesting concept, but what does it rank your site in? It seems to me like it only ranks your site in comparison to all the other sites that have the same ranking system installed via the image link. That's where it breaks down in my opinion.

Early 80's??? Any website would have been good in the early 80's.... The internet didn't make it to the public till the early 90's....

The design is way too plain looking. You have an ok idea going on, but if you used a better layout I think you would really get moving.

It's clean how it is now, but it looks way too old school. Get a facelift, and you'll be set.

Good luck.

This is my point... and do not forget that first web sites were created in late 60's and early 70's ...
