This relies on either free, advanced OpenPGP methods, or a less advanced, free S/MIME Certificate that you can use to sign and encrypt your emails. OpenPGP encryption also enables you to encrypt and sign files - all the instructions you need are right here! Do you not already know why to encrypt your email? Plenty information and links are provided for you to make up your own mind, but recent EU Law REQUIRES that ISPs keep track of your internet browsing and email history.
